OOMPA

Well...transfer calls came on Saturday night and Sister Manson is leaving me!! This means I now am taking over the area, driving, and receiving a new companion. AH! It's so much different than in Nauvoo because here if your companion is transferred, you aren't really guaranteed to see them again. Pretty freaking lame if you ask me.

GOD IS LOVE

Hello loves!!

Another great week! And, once again, Tuesday was the highlight!!!

My comp and I ended up with 4 pairs of the same boots..it's a long story (shipped a few sizes before we got the right fit!)

YOU CALL IT INSANE, WE CALL IT TUESDAY

This week was incredible! I'm sure that's a very typical way to start off a missionary email, but it's true.

FIGHT FOR YOUR WORLD, NOT YOUR COUNTRY

The good news? I'm still alive. The bad news? I'm still alive.

A lot has been on my mind this week. I would like to share some of it with all of you:

Jesus Christ suffered all of the sins of the world, and we are asked to live a life like His. Why, then, are we so surprised when we are asked to suffer?

We have officially been kicked out of Carthage and are now in Nauvoo! My companion is Sister Heninger, and we are living in the Nelson house with 6 other sisters! It is SUCH A NICE PLACE!!!! I feel sooo spoiled her in Nauvoo!!

WHEN WE LOSE OURSELVES WE FIND EACH OTHER

Hello loves!

Well, another week has come and gone. It's absolutely insane how fast this mission I going by. Sister Uata and I were talking about what we did for New Years when we were home and we both just stared at each other when we realized that was 8 months ago.....that just doesn't feel right. SO WEIRD.

Sister Mikolyski drew this of all us Carthage sisters! It's SO COOL!!!! I'm on the left :)

4TH Oh July is definitely one of my favorite holidays :) This year was much different than the last, but it was still great. We had a party at the Shultz's house with food, live music, and sparklers. It was so fun to spend it with missionaries. ♥

SHE TOLD ME SHE LOVES ME

WE MET SISTER BECK!!! WHOO HOOO!!!! (And please disregard my horrid hair and stereotypical Mormon outfit that probably every sister missionary in the world has worn)

KNOW HOPE

Aloha! (I never know how to start out these things)

This week was so fun! My friend Callie was able to see me in Carthage, and that was definitely a highlight! I love that I get to see people I know so often! It's the best :)

We also had a day of service this week! On Friday we got to do service with the BYU Young Ambassadors, and then afterward we got the chance to watch them perform! Again, I am SO grateful to be surrounded by music.

DON'T WAIT FOR THE WORLD TO GET BETTER

Life is good in the Nauvoo Hood.

This week has been SO great! I absolutely love serving in Carthage, and I absolutely love the people I serve with. There is a senior couple that I serve with, Elder and Sister Hanson, and they are MY FAVORITE. We live on the same floor of a giant house and we go over almost every night for cookies or ice cream, and it's SO FUN!\

I JUST LOVE MUSIC AND SCRIPTURES!!!!!

Well, I have ten minutes left of email time...So I'm sorry if this email sucks. Hehe

This week was great!!! there is way too much to write!!!! I don't have a ton of photos because, lucky me, my camera was smashed in our mini van seat and has....died. It was a slow and painful death and I miss it terribly. So enjoy a selfie and a photo of the ORIGINAL door of the martyrdom room in Carthage Jail.

1st Mission Talk

Hello everyone! Just a little intro, my name is Sister Pugmire and I am from Vancouver Washington. I love music, art, poetry, photography, and pretty much any outward expression of emotion. I never ever in a million years thought I would serve a mission, but here I am in Nauvoo riding a bike in a Pioneer dress around town...and here I am loving it.

I was asked to speak today about Personal Revelation. When I first received my topic I shrugged it off as something that wasn't too important. Personal Revelation wasn't something I'd given much thought to, or consciously used much in my life before a mission. But as I began to study for my talk, I began to understand the significance of revelation.

CARTHAGE BOUND!

Hellooooo!

So, my pday has been changed to Tuesday for this transfer, and of course I failed to mention that last week. #sorry

So guess what?? I have been moved to Carthage! They got too tired of me in Nauvoo, so now I'm half an hour away serving in Carthage jail with 2 other companionships! So crazy!!! I have a new comp, and her name is Sister Stirling. And yes, she is related to Lindsey Stirling. SHE IS SO AWESOME!!!! I love her!!! She is 21, super chill, super funny, and a way better missionary than me even though I am supposed to be training her! Also we have 8 new sister missionaries here including my comp and they are so sweet and so excited to be here! I LOVE THEM!!!!!!

KITTENS AND STORMS

Hello Everyone!!!

This week has been pretty crazy! I had to give a talk this Sunday on Personal Revelation! Eeeek! I'll send it to ya'll once I get it all typed up! I was sooo nervous, and while I was introducing myself up there they raised the stand and so I screamed...right into the mic in front of everyone...it's casual.

BABY GOOSE SAVES THE DAY

Hello everyone!!

So, random fact for you, I found out that the population of Nauvoo is 1,100 people! Isn't that insane? I mean, I thought Rexburg was small...this is insane! It's so funny to be in such a small town, preaching the good word in Pioneer Dresses. I love it though. :)

it's so funny, HAHAHA

Tuesday, May 5, 2015

OKAY HELLO EVERYONE I HAVE 48 EMAILS AND AN HOUR AND A HALF TO RESPOND SO SORRY IF THIS SUCKS

This week has been good! I am seriously loving my companion! In the sites we talk about the WEIRDEST things...We planned our funerals and said we were going to set ourselves on fire? And we meow like cats a lot? And quote Hot Rod, Zoolander, Spongebob, and Moulin Rounge at least 50 times a day? It's kind of the best. We say something we're grateful for about each other every night and one night she just goes..."I'm grateful that you have eczema..." because she has it too and I laughed for a good 20 minutes. I only get to be with her for a couple more weeks and then I have a new companion and I'll most likely be TRAINING. I don't even want to talk about it.

CATS & CORNROWS: GUYS. GOD ANSWERED MY PRAYERS WITH A CAT AGAIN. IT'S NO LONGER A COINCIDENCE.

This week we got to go to the barn and see the horses! It was really fun, and while I was there guess what found me? A cat. It was glorious.

God answers prayers through cats

hey guys!!!

This week was pretty good! Weeks go by so fast here, but the days go buy so slow!

We had the Amish community come tour Nauvoo this week, as well as some Polygamists! It was a crazy day to say the least! The Amish were so nice though, and it was so cool to get to know them!

Nauvoo #2

Hello Everyone!!

I know you just heard from me on Saturday, but my P-day is now officially on Mondays! Yay! It will be this way for 6 weeks, and I look forward to having some consistency!

My companion is Sister Hinze, and she is amazing!

Nauvoo!!!

Well, I'm officially in Nauvoo!! So crazy!

On Tuesday we left at 4:30 AM for a 9:45 flight, in which we had to go on various trains and buses. We finally landed in St. Louis, where we then had to drive three hours to Nauvoo. It was probably one of the most tiring days I've had on the mission so far.

I love it here!

MTC 2nd Week

Hello Everyone!

It feels like it has been FOREVER since I have emailed! This will be my last pday in the MTC, which is so crazy! I leave for Nauvoo next Tuesday, and I'm not sure when my pday will be once I'm there.

Ah It's so hard to even know what to say, so much happens that I could write a 10 page email after every single day.

It seems that in the MTC you can't have a good day without having a bad one to follow. But I guess when you're doing God's work it's stupid to think that Satan is just going to let you have good days all the time.

MTC 1st Week

OH MY GOSH.
Okay, so the MTC is crayyy crayyy. I have never felt like such an inadequate human in my entire existence. Normally I just know what to say to people, and I'm the one people come to for advice ...but all of my abilities have completely vanished ever since I walked into this place.
these people are SO SMART. It's insane! I'm like...uh, what did I even learn in seminary? Honestly?

Farewell Talk

Well, hello everyone! For any of you who don’t know who I am, my name is Natalie Pugmire. This Wednesday I will board a plane to Utah and go to the MTC, then a short 12 days later I will be headed to Nauvoo to serve in the visitors center! So that’s me, but before I get into my talk, let me give you a little background about my decision to serve.
