Beneath these skin and bones there is a soul that's crying home

June 3, 2016

Hellllllllo everyone!

It has been a fantastic week. My new companion is Sister Farrell, and we are going to have a rock solid kick butt of a six weeks together. Also, I have been called as a District Leader. Yayyyyyy for responsibilities.

It has started to become busy here in Nauvoo! The shows have begun, there is music in the air, and the youth groups have taken over.

This week Sister Farrell had the chance to serve at Pioneer Pastimes, which has got to be one of my favorite sites. It's an outdoor area full of pioneer games and pioneer clothes for the kids to dress up in, and all you have to do is play games with them. After a day spent with kids, it's so easy to see why Jesus commanded us to become like little children. They trust easily, aren't afraid to ask for help, and aren't afraid to show emotion. They ask you to be there friend within 5 seconds of talking, and aren't judgmental. I love them.
I don't have much time, but want to leave you all with some quotes:
"The world is imprisoned in it's own activity, except when actions are performed as worship of God. Therefore, you must perform every action sacramentally, and be free from all attachments to results." -The Gita

"His disciples said to him, 'when will the kingdom come?'
'It will not come by watching for it. It will not be said, 'Look here!' or 'Look there!' Rather, that Father's kingdom is spread out upon the earth, and people don't see it.'"
-Gospel of Thomas #113

"For one human being to love another: that is perhaps the most difficult of all our tasks, the ultimate, the last test and proof, the work for which all other work is but preparation."
-Reiner Maria Rilke

We watched the show "Sunset by the Mississippi" this week! So great, it's my favorite one!

I love you all! Have a fantastic week, and dance in the rain (for those of you who live in Washington).

♥Sister Pugmire

P.s. Lyrics today come from my friend Chandler! :-)
